The Lake County Boys Choir is a warm and welcoming environment for boys who love to sing. For the 2021-2022 season, we are pleased to offer two ensembles for boys interested in participating: Boys I choir (grades 1-5) and Boys II Choir (grades 6-12). Each choir rehearses once a week from August through May. We have two to three large concerts a year with extra occasional run-out performances scheduled.

The groups have a mixed set of repertoire that includes classical literature, art songs, musical theater, and occasional pop. A typical weekly rehearsal begins with an energetic and educational warm-up that moves into repertoire rehearsal. We try to mix breaks in to expend some pent up energy and get to learn more about one another to build the idea of an ensemble.

The Lake County Boys Choir debuted in the Spring of 2013 in affiliation with the non-for-profit Red Rose Children’s Choir of Lake County. Since it’s inaugural season, it has continued to grow and serve as an excellent opportunity for boys to learn the fundamentals of vocal and ensemble performance.
