The Red Rose Children’s Choir and Lake County Boy’s Choir are pleased to announce the performance and rehearsal schedule for the 2021-2022 season. Please note that the following times, dates, and locations are currently tentative and subject to change.
Fall 2021
August 28th: Camp Duncan (optional)
August 31st / September 1st: Rehearsals begin
November 23rd & 24th: No rehearsals (Thanksgiving week)
December 5th: Mandatory Dress Rehearsal, Butterfield Elementary (all choirs)
December 17th: Mandatory pre-concert rehearsal, Vernon Hills High School (all choirs)
December 18th: Holiday Concert at Vernon Hills High School
2:00 PM – All Choirs and Handbells perform
4:30 PM – Bella Rosa, Master Singers, Boy’s II and Handbells perform
December 19th-January 10th: No rehearsals (Winter Break)
Spring 2022
February 25th: Mandatory pre-concert rehearsal (all choirs), Libertyville High School
February 26th: Love Notes Concert, Libertyville High School (late February/ early March)
2:00 PM – All Choirs and Handbells perform
March 29th & 30th: No rehearsals (Spring Break)
June 3rd: Mandatory pre-concert rehearsal (all choirs) at Stevenson High School
June 4th: Red Rose Choir 25th Anniversary celebration event
June 5th: 25th Anniversary Spring Concert at Stevenson High School
2:00 PM – All Choirs, Handbells, and Alumni perform
June 7th & 8th: Last regular season rehearsal (shortened)
Weekly Rehearsal Times – Fall 2021- Spring 2022
Prelude Choir (girls grades 1-3): Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Concert Choir (girls grades 4-5): Wednesdays, 4:30-5:45 p.m.
Master Singers (girls grades 6-8): Tuesdays, 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Bella Rosa Choir (girls grades 9-12): Tuesdays, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Boys I Choir (boys grades 1-5): Wednesdays, 5:45-6:30 p.m.
Boys II Choir (boys grades 6-12): Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45 p.m.
HandBells: (all singers, grades 4-12): Tuesdays, 6:30-7:00 p.m., 7:00-7:30 p.m.
Rehearsal Location
Based on the current local Covid guidance, we will begin the season with rehearsals outside in the Church Street Parking Garage which served us well last year (123 W Church Street, Libertyville, IL). We will rehearse on the 3rd floor – this is one level up from the ground floor. The area is covered and keeps the rain out.
- There is no restroom at the parking garage, so please plan accordingly.
- Since the rehearsals will be outside, singers should dress appropriately for the weather. Some days it is very warm and other days it can be chilly. We will not cancel rehearsal due to weather unless it is severe.
